The Blue Monarch, African Blue Tiger, or Dappled Monarch (''Tirumala petiverana'') is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found in tropical Africa. The habitat consists of Afromontane, lowland and riverine forests.〔Woodhall, S. (2005). ''Field Guide to Butterflies of South Africa'' Cape Town:Struik Publishers, p.36.〕 The wingspan is 60–75 mm. There is one generation per year. Adults are on wing from February to May (with peaks in April) in Zimbabwe.
